Deck ideas
If you are still unsure where to begin, a very safe way to start is with the cards you own or the the original Loading Ready Run list.
After that here are some ideas:
Vintage/Legacy Cubelet - Cards from the entire collection.
Modern Cubelet - Cards available in Modern
Standard Cubelet - Cards from standard, would rotate with standard rotation
Pauper Cubelet - Commons Only. MTGO Pauper would provide the most familiarity
Pioneer Cubelet - Cards from Return to Ravnica to the present
UnCubelet - Cards from Unglued, Unhinged, and Unstable
Set/Block Constructed Cubelet - Pick your favorite set or block.
Flavor Cubelet - Color balanced and embraces each color and guild to its fullest extent
Wedge/Shard Cubelet - Pick a wedge or shard and only have cards in those colors, including cards that need the wedge/shards mana to cast.
Combo Cubelet - Play as many different combos and see who can combo off for the win
Control Cubelet - If you and your friends really REALLY love the grind and counterspell war, one cubelet could be designed for such a thing.

Converting a TwoBert
Ryan Overturf of Star City Games introduced the 2-4 player cube experience called "Twobert." It is a 180 card cube that is drafted and includes on average 24 land. If you automatically cut the lands, you are really looking at trimming at most 60 of the redundant pieces to convert a Twobert into a cubelet. An example would be to look at the Tempo Twobert vs. Tempo Cubelet.
Tips for varied gameplay
- When playing in between rounds of a tournament (FNM, GP, Opens, etc.) start at 10 life.
- Two-headed giant. Start at 30 life just like regular 2HG rules.
- Avoid tutor cards as being able to search the deck gives someone the ability to know what is left to play.
- When new players join, never tell them what is in the Cubelet. The suspense to learn all 100 cards is a fun journey.
- When building a Cubelet with the Unstable cards, either play with only host/augment or leave them out. A high density of these cards are needed to make them worth it. You could play just hosts like regular cards.
- Also, with Unstable, building contraptions can either be a shared contraption experience or individual experience. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.
